Are you ready to take charge of your own welding profession and be your own boss? Are you up for the challenge of managing scheduling, advertising and day to day operations on your own? - Obtain Welder Certification from Accredited Welding Program.
- Apply for a Welding License in your State.
- Get Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance if you have other employees working with you.
- Choose suitable location and territory for your business.
- Stock up on Welding supplies for your shop. Get the essentials only (portable welding machines preferred).
- Have a designated vehicle for your work. Make sure to Advertise your business on your work vehicle.
- Build a strong client list and spread the word about your services.
