The Lotos LT3500 Plasma Cutter is designed for light cutting projects. This unit is the most compact plasma cutter one can find in the market and weighs only 8kg (17.6lbs). In the meantime, this powerful unit is strong enough to cut 10mm (2/5inch) metal with 15mm (3/5inch) severance thickness, making it an ideal choice for cost conscious DIY hobbyists. The LT3500 is similar to the Lotos LT3200 model except it has a higher amperage range up to 35 A under 110V, has a pre-installed air filter and air gauge ready to be connected to your air compressor with the stand NPT 1/4" industry type D coupler (can be setup quickly within 2 minutes).

This is a nice and easy to use machine, even for a beginner user like I am.

I viewed countless videos on various plasma cutters from the least expensive to those up to the $700 range. I was convinced by watching one video in particular of a LT3500 cutting through 1/4" steel that this model would do the job for me. I received the LT3500 within 3 days or ordering it. I had my shop's work bench already set up for the LT3500, air was plumbed to the work area and the bench's 117V outlet breaker upped to 30A. I adjusted the air pressure to 65PSI, connected the ground to a piece of scrap 16ga tubing, turn the unit ON, set the current to 20 and pressed the button. The machine cut through the metal as fast as I could move the torch. Oh yeah, she definitely works as advertised. I have since made a number of cuts through steel angle iron and flat plate up to 3/16". I would like to have a higher end unit but the fact is this LT3500 is doing exactly what I need. Highly recommended for occasional use up to 1/4" steel. If I were a professional fabricator/welder I would go for a high end unit but for my occasional use, this thing is perfect. As a former and now retired college professor, I'm giving Lotos Grade-A for this little gem, good job!
Update 2/11/2019: The LT3500 has been working perfectly since I received it but a few days ago (2/9/2019) the display became intermittent then went completely blank. Jiggling the ribbon cable connectors to the display board had no affect. I used it with the blank display this morning (2/11/2019) but it bugged me knowing that it wasn't showing selected current. I removed the cover and swapped the ribbon cable connector ends from the mother board to the display board and it jumped alive with the proper reading. Apparently, there was a open pin on one of the connectors so she's back on-line with the swap. I remain very pleased with the performance of the LT3500. The pix shows a repurposed 20 gallon air compressor tank into a mobile cart/air storage for the LT3500. I load the tank with "oil-free" air, thence through a regulator/filter water trap into the LT3500. And yes, I know the water trap works best when the air is cooled; however, there should be significant cooling by virtue of the expansion of the air while filling the storage tank.

Very nice plasma cutter for a good price. Much easier/ quicker than cutting torch. Husband bought one for himself regular home use he liked it so much we bought one for dad for Christmas.

So I have been in the welding and fabrication field for the past 5 years and I am excited to say I Would definitely recommend the lt3500. Everything arrived well packaged and 2 days earlier than the expected delivery date which was great. I opened it up. Fired up my small husky air compressor and made my first cuts. Wow very impressed with the cuts (very thin and consistent kerf)
I have used other lotos machines with the old style torch and this new one feels way better in hand.
Cut like a hot knife through butter and compared honestly pretty well to the Hypertherm 380 I use daily at work.
The only thing is getting used to cutting without the pilot arc but that¡¯s an easy adjustment. Starts right up and cuts fine and controlled for silhouette plasma art.
I wanted an affordable plasma cutter I could use for cutting out art at home and the occasional side job doing mobile welding and repair. The lt3500 is the perfect size and capacity for that.

Bought it back on December. It showed up days earlier than expected, in amazing condition, and sat in my storage shed for months. I finally got a chance to use it. At 20 amps and 50 psi, it did well. I am trained, but very inexperienced. I am sure someone with more experience could produce a little cleaner cut. :)

It is working very well for me, especially for price point. I am currently using the unit on a 20 amp outlet and it is tripping the breaker every so often when cutting 12 gauge sheet metal 10-15 seconds straight at a 17amp setting. So I am in process of installing 30amp circuit 10/2 wire and replacement 10 AWG power cord but since I have to do this I wish I would have gotten the 220v version. What I am baffled about is the power cord and the wiring inside the unit are 14 AWG/15amp yet it says it¡¯s rated for

Set up was easy. Everything is included. Drawback was that when you pull the trigger, nothing happens. No arc.

Worked perfect right out of the box. It is very compact and light weight. Perfect for cutting 1/8th inch steel. Came with everything to hook it up. Very easy to hook-up and use.
